B-day gift: Mur jur ub durt.

This is *VentriloquistBeast's dragonsona Mer as a baby/chibi. I've made this for her birthday. I've been wanting to try a sort of chibi style, and it turned out pretty well. (except for that one spot on her tail were i fudged up)

But I'm really exited about this one. I't sets the stage for future works of awesomeness. I did the flat colors with cheap ol' school markers, like my other marker works, but this time, i used color pencils for the shading and highlights. I still use some white gel pen on some of the highlighted areas and colored pens for some shading touch ups, but the color pencils combined with the markers, is what really helped me achieve this wonderful effect. I think i will be mixing mediums more often like this for now on. But don't worry, they won't all be cartoony like this one(not that there is any thing wrong with that) But i definitely wanna try some semi-realism using this method. This will also change the way i do commissions.
